Classroom Rules

Classroom Procedures

o      Come to the classroom at 7:45 A.M.

o      Turn in homework

o      Have assignment book checked

o      Get pencil sharpened and paper out

o      Start morning work

o      Follow class schedule

o      Restroom breaks

o      Lunch

o      Restroom breaks

o      Follow class schedule

o      Clean up the room

o      Line up for car riders and bus riders

 

 

Classroom Discipline

o      No talking when visitors are in the room

o      Listen carefully

o      Follow directions

o      Limit excessive talking

o      Enjoy the day!

 

Classroom Consequences

 

o      DOI (Declaration of Independence) will be written if talking occurs when visitors are present or the teacher is out of the classroom.

o      A hole punch is given if talking or disturbing the class occurs during teaching time.

o      Two holes punched during the week an educational write-off is given (multiplication facts, spelling words, or definitions, states and capitals, etc.)

o      Three holes punched during the week then the DOI will be given.

o      A trip to the principal’s office will be given for fighting, talking back to a teacher, or stopping the class from functioning.

 

Classroom Rewards

 

o      Popcorn party             Movies

o      Talk time                    Pizza party

o      Treats                        Computer time

 

Grades

o      Grades will come from the following: daily work, homework, quizzes, and tests

o      All will be weighted the same

o      Acquiring 6 AR points will be part of the reading grade

 

Parties

 

o      Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc.

o      No notes will be sent home

o      If you would like to donate to the party, bring items in before 8:00 A.M.

o      No set time for the party is given, it will be when the work is finished

 

Birthday Refreshments

o      Let the teacher know a couple of days in advance

o      Bring in items by 8:00 A.M.

o      Party time will vary

1-175 count Kleenex tissue

3-2 pocket and brad folders (blue, yellow, green)

2 packages of glue sticks

2 sheets of poster board (22”x28”)
