Goals for Coordinated School Health
(Coorelated to the National Health Standards)
Students will demonstrate an understanding of health promotion and disease prevention concepts to establish a foundation for leading healthy, productive lives.
Students will demonstrate the ability to access, analyze, and evaluate health information, products, and services in order to become health literate consumers.
Students will demonstrate the ability to identify and practice health enhancing behaviors and reduce risks to live safer, healthier lives.
Students will analyze culture, media, technology, and other factors to determine their influence on health.
Students will demonstrate the ability to use interpersonal communication skills to enhance personal, family, and community health.
Students will demonstrate the ability to use goal setting and decision making skills to address issues related to personal, family, and community health.
Students will demonstrate the ability to advocate for personal, family, and community health in order to influence quality of life.
