The Valentines Day Mystery

It was only a week before Valentine's Day. At an anonymous Chocolate Factory, the chocolate kiss taste testers were sampling the candy, when all of a

sudden they fell down dead!

What had happened in this quiet peaceful town? As concerned citizens, who

could we get to help us? Only one solution came to mind....Dial "M" for Murder

and get Mr. Andy Griffith to investigate.

The detective, Mr. Griffith, went to the morgue to find the cause of the mysterious deaths. He detected the presence of poison in the circulatory system

of the victims! We could not let those kisses get out of the factory. If this happened there could be numerous deaths. But what about Valentine's Day??!!

Mr. Griffith went to interview two suspects. There was a troubled teenager named John and a out of towner from Checkslovackia. This is how the teenager’s questioning went.He went

to the troubled teenager’s house. The house was big, ugly, and scary. He approached the door cautiously and knocked on the door. He went in and the boy approached him. They sat

down at the table to answer a few questions. The teenager was very nervous because of the dectecive’s short questions. The boy stuttered a lot during the questioning. Mr. Griffith

thanked John for his time and moved on to the next suspect. When he left, he could hear the boy’s father yelling at him.

So Mr. Griffith moved on to the local hotel to see if the out of towner was staying there. The desk clerk said that she checked him in at 4:00 the last evening. She gave him a key to go to

his room because he told her that he was a detective. He stepped into the elevator and made his way to the 99th floor. He knocked at the door. Nobody answered, so he pulled out the

key from his pocket and entered the room. He got in there and he saw…

Somebody stepped into the room. Mr. Griffith flew under the bed as fast as he could. The man looked in his late 20’s early 30’s, and all he wore were some old baggy cloths that needed

to be washed. Then the out of towner grabbed his coat and left. Mr. Griffith got out from under the bed and he saw a motorcycle in his room. He left and went home for the night.

Mr. Griffith for three days with no more leads. Then on Monday morning he got a call from the chocolate factory that they found an empty capsule of poison and a footprint. Mr. Griffith

was right on the lead.

The shoe size was around an "8". Mr. Griffith went to the suspect's house to see what shoe size they wore. The teenager wore a size "7" and the out of towner wore a size "14".

Mr. Griffith knew who the culprit was now!!

He went to John's house and they arrested him. They took him to the police station and interrogated him. He said that he was guilty. John said that he had bought the poison off

of a street guy. He also said that the was on drugs. John was taken into custody. After that case was solved, the perfect town of Mayberry was again happy!
