  We are very proud of our media center and the many services it has to offer.  The HMS Media Center strives to offer the latest in technology for both our students and faculty.  The media center currently has over 16,381 items located in an area which accommodates two classes simultaneously.  Our media center utilizes an automated circulation and catalog system (OPAC), which enables any networked computer in our facility to access our database.  Currently the main area of the media center offers eight on-line computers, and the adjoining computer lab contains twenty-two networked computers.  New in 2003-04 the media center is proud to be piloting a program employing a rolling laptop lab of twenty-four computers, which we fondly refer to as the “COW” (computers on wheels).  We are very excited about the wonderful opportunity this has provided to our students and faculty.
