PERSONAL COMMUNICATION DEVICES

     No personal communication device will be allowed to be in the possession of a student who is on school property during the regular school day. Students are not permitted to use cell phones or other communication devices at school.

 

     A “personal communication device” (PCD) is a device that emits an audible signal, vibrates, displays a message, or otherwise summons or delivers a communication to the possessor.  Any student found using a PCD for the purpose of communicating or cheating will be subject to the discipline listed below:

            1st offense:        Phone will be taken up and kept in the safe until picked up by a parent.

                                                                             Consequence:          Warning

            2nd offense:       Phone will be taken up and kept in the safe.  Parent may pick up after 4 weeks.

                                                                              Consequence:         1 day ISS           

            3rd offense:        Phone will be taken up and kept in the safe until the end of the school year.  Parent may pick up on the last day of school. 

                                                                             Consequence: 2 days ISS

            4th offense:        Phone will be taken up and kept in the safe until the end of the school year.  Parent may pick up on the last day of school.

                                                                              Consequence: 3 days ISS
