This week at #SummerLearningCamp at #EakinElementarySchool, Ms. Angela Fuller and her rising 3rd grade class learned about why America is important! Students read an informational passage, answered text-based questions and reflected through writing by answering: “How has America changed from 1776 to 2026?” ✍️📚
For STEAM, students got creative and made Magic Aquariums using Sharpies, a Ziploc bag and white cardstock. The white cardstock served as the “magic flashlight,” bringing their creations to life! 🐠✨
Days like this are a reminder that public schools create opportunities for students to think critically, be creative, explore new ideas and learn together in meaningful ways. From literacy and history to hands-on STEAM experiences, our students are growing, creating and thriving every day. 💙💛
