Bedford County Schools returned to scholastic activities in a limited capacity on June 1st. It is our goal to maintain a safe and healthy school community and position our schools to normal scholastic activities in the fall. We want to safely return our students and instructors to school activities with limited restrictions. All sports and other scholastic activities can return under the direction and supervision of the building principal. All TSSAA rules regarding off season and/or sports calendar are still in effect.

The following guidelines should be followed:

-All workout sessions are totally voluntary by the students.
-Coaches should check the temperature of each student upon arrival. Students with a temperature of 100 or over must be sent home. Students will not be allowed to return until fever gone for 3 days.

Coaches should ask the students the following questions upon arrival:

1. Are you feeling OK today?

2. Do you have an unexplained cough?

3. Have you been exposed to anyone with COVID-19?

4. Have you had a temperature in the last 24 hours?

-Social distancing must take place at all times. No more than groups of 10 shall be together. (9 players + Coach). More than 1 group may be brought in as long as distancing is maintained and groups are separated.

-No contact drills, or camps are allowed in the month of June.

-Weight Equipment must be sanitized, wiped down after each use. Weight lifting that involves a spotter is prohibited due to social distancing.

-Coaches will focus on conditioning for the first week of June.

These guidelines will be in effect until the TSSAA dead period, June 21 through July 4. The situation will be evaluated and adjusted after July 4th.
