Summer Learning Camp - Grades K-8th
We are very excited about the 2025 kindergarten-8th grade Summer Learning Camps where our students will be Gearing Up for Learning!
Camp dates and times at all school locations are as follows:
June 2 - June 26, 2025
7:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Week 1: Monday - Thursday
Week 2: Monday - Thursday
Week 3: Monday - Wednesday and Friday (off Thursday for Juneteenth)
Week 4: Monday - Thursday
Students will be prioritized based on academic need. While all students can apply to attend, we will only be able to fill classes based on the funding amount provided by the state for BCS Summer Learning Camp.

General Information
- Over 1,000 Bedford County students participated in last year's Summer Learning Camp!
- Registration will close on April 11, 2025.
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day that camp is in session.
- Transportation will be provided to students’ zoned schools except for those attending Thomas or SACP.
- Fifth graders/rising sixth graders will attend Summer Learning Camp at the middle school they are zoned to attend.
- Current eighth graders/rising ninth graders are welcome to attend and will attend at their zoned middle school!
- Middle school students will have exciting opportunities to engage in Career & Technical Education activities and field trips!
- If your child is enrolled in SACP as well as Summer Learning Camp, your child will attend camp at Southside Elementary School.
- All summer SACP is also located at Southside Elementary School.
- Please note that no transportation is provided to SACP.
