Registration and Enrollment

 
We are excited to welcome your family to Bedford County Schools! Whether you’re relocating to Bedford County and need to enroll your child or you’re already local and need to register your child, please follow the steps below.
 
If you need assistance in determining which school your child will be attending, visit the Transportation & School Zones page or call 931-684-1500.
 
 
  1. Complete the registration form. You can pick up the form at the school your child will attend or you can download, print, and fill out the forms provided on this page below.
  2. Obtain all necessary documents (see document information below).
  3. Call the school your child will be attending and find out when is the best time for you to stop by to enroll. Find school contact information here.
  4. Visit the school and bring all necessary documents. The office staff will enroll your child and notify the school’s principal of your enrollment.
 
 
Pre-K (BCS hosts a pre-k registration day in May each year; check with the central office at 684-3284 if interested.)

Kindergarten (BCS hosts a kindergarten registration day in May each year; check with your child's school for this date.)

* Proof of age must be one of the following documents:
  • Birth certificate (or an officially acceptable evidence of the child's date of birth)
  • Passport
  • Legal adoption or custody papers
 
** Proof of residence must be one of the following documents dated within the past three months of registration:
  • Utility statement (gas, electric, phone, etc.)
  • Letter of correspondence from government agency
  • Lease agreement
 
Drivers licenses will not be accepted to verify residence.
