Transportation & School Zones

We are looking forward to having your child ride the school bus! We are proud of the staff and bus drivers who are part of our Transportation Department. They are committed to the safety of every child. Bedford County runs 75 school buses every day, all of which are equipped with cameras and two-way radios. We transport about 4,549 students twice a day to and from school, which accounts for 4,651 miles a day. We also run 743 athletic and field trips a year. In a year’s time, our buses travel 896,480 miles!
