Standards Based Progress Reporting

Standards-based progress reporting is a way of evaluating and communicating how well students are learning specific skills and knowledge outlined in educational standards. Instead of just receiving letter grades or numbers, students are assessed based on their understanding and mastery of standards. This approach helps students, teachers and parents understand exactly what students know and can do and provides feedback on areas where students may need more support or practice. Standards-based progress reporting is a more personalized way to focus on helping each student reach his or her full potential by highlighting strengths and areas for improvement in a clear way.

Below, please see standards for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math for grades kindergarten through second grade. These are the subject areas and grade levels for which standards-based progress reporting is in place.
