TSBA Awards

TSBA AwardsTSBA AwardsTSBA AwardsThe Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) hosted the South Central Fall District Meeting recently at Hickman County High School. The event brought together school board members and superintendents from across the region to discuss key education topics, including changes to school funding, teacher salaries and school sports.

“TSBA's Fall District Meetings provide our staff the opportunity to speak with our members and listen to their concerns on multiple topics. This allows us to advocate effectively on their behalf while providing them with information they need to make informed decisions for the students in their community,” said TSBA Executive Director Dr. Tammy Ganger.

As part of the meeting, participants completed a survey to share their priorities and concerns for the upcoming General Assembly.

Several school board members from the South Central District were also recognized with TSBA Boardsmanship Awards. These awards honor board members who have demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development and service beyond the local level. The program recognizes not only the quantity, but also the quality of participation in training and leadership opportunities.
