What an incredible season for the #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool tennis program!
Henry Stone recently captured the title of Individual District Champion, his second year in a row, while Lilly Smith earned District Runner-Up honors, and both are advancing to regionals!
The momentum continues with Lydia Yoes, Evony Smith, Lilly Smith, Tucker Johnson and Carter Watson receiving All District awards and Henry Stone receiving Player of the Year, also for the second year in a row, highlighting the strength of this outstanding team!
Additionally, Coach Allison Smith earned Boys Coach of the Year honors! Assisting her this year are Assistant Coaches Jody Stone and Keely McGee.
And we’re not done yet…
🔥 The undefeated SCHS boys #tennis team opens the district tournament today at 4 p.m. at the Rec Center against Tullahoma!

The #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool CTE Greenhouse Sale is happening April 22–25, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the SCHS CTE Annex.

We also want to recognize Greenhouse Management #students Terrence Threatt, Kyriana Ward and Elaine Aguilar, along with instructors Madison Smith and Morgan Grannas Rainey, for their incredible work in the Agriculture program this semester. Together, they have spent countless hours researching, building benches, cleaning the greenhouse, planting seeds and carefully caring for every plant.
The students have also volunteered on weekends and during spring break to help ensure the success of the greenhouse and this sale. 🌱

🌟 Student Voices Making an Impact! 🌟
To wrap up their final meeting of the school year, the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council gathered at the Central Office recently to share their thoughts and experiences directly with Superintendent Dr. Tammy Garrett and Assistant Superintendent Tim Harwell.
Dr. Garrett made a special presentation recognizing two seniors, Caroline Cook, #CascadeHighSchool, and Trinity Roaden, #CommunityHighSchool, for their five years of service - serving since this council first began and the students were in 8th grade!
Throughout the school year, this dedicated group has represented their peers, offered valuable feedback on district initiatives and helped identify opportunities to strengthen #BedfordCountySchools. Their perspectives continue to play an important role in guiding decisions and supporting #student success. 💬✨
We’re grateful for their leadership and proud of the meaningful contributions they’ve made this school year to help shape the future of our schools. 🎓

🌊🐠The Pre-K CDC class at #EakinElementarySchool recently created an interactive coral reef exhibit in the hallway where visitors could press buttons to hear these #students share facts about ocean life. These young learners helped bring the reef to life with their recorded messages, inviting everyone to listen, explore and discover.🐳
The display also featured an “I Spy” counting activity and fun facts about fish and coral reefs, creating a hands-on learning experience for all who passed by.🔎
