🎣 "Cops & Bobbers" 2026: A Day to Remember! 🎣
Recently, a group of exceptional fifth graders from across the district had the unique opportunity to participate in the Cops & Bobbers event out by the water on a perfect spring day. 🌞🐟 With fishing poles in hand and excitement in the air, the #students experienced a day filled with fun, learning and meaningful community connections.

The best part? A class tasting where #students compared texture and flavor while learning firsthand what makes each cut unique! 🥩
Meanwhile, Culinary Arts II students have been mixing cooking with science in a deliciously fun way! 🧪🥕 Through hands-on experiments, students explored how pH affects food by cooking vegetables in neutral, acidic and basic solutions and the colorful results were amazing!

From learning about foods that fuel their bodies to trying new healthy snacks, these students are building habits that can last a lifetime, and their excitement is contagious!

Thanks to a teacher grant from funds raised at the CC5K, Ms. Tammy Bach has launched the Healthy Kids Crew at #LearningWayElementarySchool, and it is already a big success! 🌟
Twice a month, after school, a group of 24, 2nd - 5th grade #students are learning what fuels their bodies best: real food, water, sleep, sunlight, movement and stress reduction. 💧🌞🏃♀️ They are also exploring whole foods, updated food pyramid guidelines and the impact of ultra processed foods and added sugars.
A favorite part has been hands-on food experiences! Students have enjoyed preparing and tasting foods such as guacamole with blue chips 🥑, salmon jerky and hummus on flax crackers.
The enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to try new healthy foods has been outstanding and truly inspiring to see!💛💙
