🪿✨ HONK if you love a little school spirit! ✨🪿

The cafeteria staff at #CommunityHighSchool recently cooked up something egg-stra special… a school-wide naming competition for a brand-new porch goose! 🥚🎉

Teachers submitted their best (and most quack-tastic) name ideas, and then the votes flew in. After all the ballots were counted, the cafeteria porch goose officially received its name…

🎀 Roberta Ralston 🎀

The excitement didn’t stop there though as #BedfordCountySchools’ very own Bartalemew G. Honksworth (Bart) waddled in for a special visit! 🪿

This activity was a fun and creative way to bring the school together and build a positive, inclusive culture across campus. From friendly competition to plenty of smiles, even a porch goose can help strengthen school community spirit! 💛💜

Welcome to the flock, Roberta Ralston! 🪿And you, too, Bart.

New hands-on learning opportunities are taking shape in the #Agriculture class at the #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool Annex!🥚🐓

#Students have introduced a flock of chickens and their coop to campus along with a rooster named Bobby, 👑🐓 who has confidently taken on the role of campus supervisor. Penelope, the black and white Barred Rock hen, is a class favorite!

Through daily care and maintenance, students are gaining hands-on experience in animal science, responsibility and sustainable agriculture.

🥚 Even better, the eggs collected are being used in the #CulinaryArts program, where student chefs incorporate them into their dishes.

It’s a real-world farm-to-table connection happening right on the SCHS campus!

🫀🔬 Hands-on learning is happening at SCHS!

Students in Ms. Becky Davis' HOSA class at #ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool recently explored the Cardiology Unit with a unique, real-world experience examining a sheep heart. 🐑❤️ This interactive lab allowed #students to study the heart’s chambers, valves and overall structure while deepening their understanding of cardiovascular health and medical careers.

This experience helps students connect classroom learning to future pathways in healthcare and is inspiring the next generation of professionals.

Students in Megan Sager’s #CulinaryArts class at #CascadeHighSchool recently showcased their skills and leadership at the FCCLA State Leadership Competition.

👏 Adriana Cates competed with her project titled "Champions of Cheer" and earned a gold medal while placing 3rd in the state, an outstanding achievement! 🥇⭐

In addition to competitive success, the Cascade FCCLA chapter demonstrated a strong commitment to service by participating in the SLC Service-Learning Project, "Friends of the Troops." #Students donated several items to help create care packages for members of the United States Armed Forces and their families, supporting those who serve the nation.

The combination of #leadership, skill development and community service reflects the meaningful opportunities FCCLA provides for students to grow and make a positive impact.🧡🖤✨

🌿✨ Adventure + History = The Perfect Field Trip! ✨🌿

Our amazing 5th grade students from #EastSideElementarySchool recently stepped back in time during an unforgettable field trip to Old Stone Fort State Park in Manchester! 🏞️

#Students explored the fascinating Native American mounds, discovered artifacts from long ago and learned how people once lived in this very area. They also enjoyed a scenic hike to the beautiful falls and even got hands-on experience practicing spear throwing just like early hunters! 🏹

It was a day full of learning, exploring and making memories in the great outdoors. We’re so proud of our curious learners for embracing history in such an exciting way!🌟
