Kindness is taking center stage at Cartwright Elementary School!🫶
In January, two #students from #CartwrightElementarySchool, along with Assistant Principal Malcom Martin, visited #WLIJ and #HopkinsFarmsBroadcasting🎙️ to discuss the school’s pursuit of a STEAM designation.
During that conversation, one #student, David Quinones, was asked, “If you could design a STEAM project to help your school or community, what would it be?” His thoughtful response: “I would do a kindness project so that everyone could learn better how to be kind to each other.” 💡
That inspiring idea sparked something special and now the school is wrapping up the year with a project-based learning project focused on kindness. 🌟
As part of the project launch, Mr. Clanton recently joined Mr. Martin and #BedfordCountySchools Director of Communications Carol Garrette in visiting 5th graders, sharing a guiding question as students brainstormed ideas for spreading kindness. 🧠🤝
We can't wait to see how these creative ideas will guide students as they put kindness into action throughout the school community! 🌈✨

The Shelbyville branch of the Embroidery Guild of America (EGA) recently shared their talents in a meaningful way with handstitched bookmarks for reading interventionists to use as rewards for #students reading progress. 🧵❤️
