🏗️📐 Engineering in Action! 📐🏗️

Rising 4th graders in Mr. Jason Boyette's class at #ThomasMagenetSchool's Summer Learning Camp recently put their engineering skills to the test with a hands-on building challenge!

Using only index cards and tape, #students designed and constructed towers and bridges, applying creativity, teamwork and problem-solving throughout the process. They even held a friendly competition to see which team could build the tallest tower! 🏆

Students also tested the strength of their bridges by seeing if they could safely support a toy car without collapsing. 🚗✨

Through planning, designing and testing their creations, students explored real-world engineering concepts while having fun along the way.

✨ Celebrating What Makes Us Wonder-full! ✨

Students at #CascadeMiddleSchool's Summer Learning Camp explored themes of kindness, friendship and individuality through the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio.

Throughout the reading, #students participated in thoughtful discussions and reflected on the importance of showing kindness and appreciating what makes each person unique. 💙

Students also created their own “you are a wonder” robot, adding their names and personal touches before sharing them with classmates. Each #student wrote a kind compliment on a peer’s robot, highlighting qualities that make them special. 🤖✨

After the activity, students’ robots were laminated so they could take home a lasting reminder of the positive words and encouragement shared by their classmates. To celebrate their learning, students also enjoyed watching the movie Wonder together with popcorn and drinks. 🍿🎬
